Pete Tong & The Heritage Orchestra: Franklin’s Gardens show postponed to 2022

Franklin’s Gardens will now present Pete Tong & The Heritage Orchestra’s ‘Ibiza Classics’ show in the summer of 2022, after the event was postponed by 12 months today.

Music Plus Sport and Northampton Saints have been working hard behind the scenes since the UK Government released their roadmap last week – but, regrettably, ‘Ibiza Classics’ will be postponed from Friday 25 June 2021 to Friday 24 June 2022.

Despite the planned re-opening of large-scale events on June 21, this ground-breaking concert includes a very large production involving a 65-piece orchestra, taking weeks of rehearsals to perfect a flawless show. The safety of the crew and musicians is paramount, and therefore due to the scale of the concert, the logistics involved with rehearsing with Covid-19 restrictions prior to June 21 are not possible.

Pete Tong & The Heritage Orchestra are therefore rescheduling all of their June dates, which unfortunately affects the Franklin’s Gardens show.

Franklin’s Gardens cannot wait to welcome Pete Tong, conductor Jules Buckley and The Heritage Orchestra in 2022 for what will be an incredible spectacle.

“Myself and Jules Buckley were so excited to be bringing the Orchestra and ‘Ibiza Classics’ to Franklin’s Gardens in 2022,” said Pete Tong.

“The past year has been so unpredictable, but we continue….and I guarantee this will be a night to remember, so dust off your raving shoes!”

“We know fans will be disappointed that, due to the pandemic, this concert will not be taking place this year – but we can promise it will be worth the wait,” said Mark Darbon, Northampton Saints’ Chief Executive.

“We know ‘Ibiza Classics’ will be a jaw-dropping production of music and visual effects, so we’re excited the people of Northampton will still be able to experience it in 2022.”
